Only seems like yesterday when we moved to Mt. Clemens from Detroit...yesterday was 1936.  I remember working at our gas station my parents bought that year.  I was ten.   I also remember pumping gas for .8 cents a gallon.   My father Mark & my mother Ruth also had real jobs besides the gas station.   My father worked at Chrysler and my mother Ruth worked at the Hostess Cake & Bread Co. in Detroit.   Who would of ever thought that day in 1945 when they bought the property on 14 Mile & Gratiot, and opened the Alibi Inn, that 60 years later it still would be here doing business under the same name, and still owned by the same family.  I never did.   Please take a moment to read our history, from the beginning with my parents and now to my daughter Connie.

Thank You.
